£100 standalone. For frizz, dryness or hair that needs smoother day-to-day control, we explain whether keratin therapy is suitable for your hair and what result is realistic.

Yesterday, I went to this hair salon, which I'd never been to before, on Chappt's recommendation. I was worried before going, wondering if I was going to the right place and if they could really do the haircut I wanted. When I arrived, I was greeted by very friendly and optimistic owners who assured me they could definitely do my hair, giving me a feeling of confidence. When I went back the next day after making my appointment, I was greeted with that same warm smile. I went with my children, and what I liked most was how the lady there stopped blow-drying my hair and immediately brought my daughters treats, making them happy. I thank them again from here. When it was time for my hair, we had a brief discussion about how it would look, and then they cut my hair. The result was even better than the picture I had taken, it was incredible. I intended to only go in for a cut and possibly at a later date return for a colour but Lora made me feel so welcome and relaxed that I just didn't feel the need to wait so I went for it. A fresh new colour which was absolutely perfect using the best products and a fantastic cut. My hair just felt so fresh and full of life after. I left this salon feeling amazing, the cut was perfect and the colour was just beautiful. I couldn't have been more pleased. Questions before you book
What happens during the free hair-check?
The free hair-check takes around 30 minutes, sometimes longer. We talk through what you want and look closely at your hair’s condition, colour history and regrowth. We also work a small section of your hair through the full process we are proposing, including any lightening steps, so we can see how your hair actually reacts before you commit. It is not a sales appointment, and your full service is booked for a separate visit.
How long does a grey transition usually take?
Each grey transition appointment takes at least four hours in the salon, and most people need more than one appointment over several months. The £200 is the price of each appointment, all-in including lowlights, not a single price for the whole journey. Plan the day rather than fitting it around other things. The free hair-check tells you how many appointments your hair is likely to need before you start.
Can grey transition work on previously coloured hair or heavy regrowth?
It can sometimes work on previously coloured hair or heavy regrowth, but it depends on how much previous colour is present, how dark it is, the amount of regrowth and what the hair can safely manage. We assess these points before suggesting a plan rather than promising the same route for everyone.
Do I have to cut my hair for a grey transition?
No, a cut is not automatically required for a grey transition. A cut may be suggested if weak or over-processed ends would limit what can safely be done, but the decision depends on your hair and the result you want.
What happens if the honest answer is that my hair is not ready?
We say so clearly if your hair is not ready. We explain why and tell you what would need to change first. That may mean waiting, changing the plan or allowing the hair more time before further colour work.
Why does Hair Colour & Repair not have a fixed price?
Hair Colour & Repair does not have a fixed price because the work varies with the length and thickness of the hair, how much previous colour is present, its current condition and how much can safely be completed in one appointment. This work is also time-consuming, and the appointment length is confirmed at the free hair-check so you can plan the day.
How long does Keratin Therapy last, and what does it not do?
Keratin Therapy can last for several months, depending on the hair, washing routine and home care. It can make the hair smoother and easier to manage, but it is not permanent straightening and it cannot undo damage that is already present.
